OUR BUILDING STORY

HOW WE CAME TO THE HOPE CENTRE

As a church we purchased the former Odeon cinema in the centre of Ipswich in September 2018. The five-screen cinema, built in the early 90s, is an iconic building in the town and had stood empty since 2005. After years of much prayer, sacrificial giving and a few epic work parties, we opened our doors for the first time in September 2021.

We are thrilled that what we now have is a fantastic space in the heart of the town that we love, comprising a great 600 seater auditorium, many multiple use rooms of various sizes and two beautiful café / bar areas which are perfect spaces to relax in.

This building, known now as the Hope Centre is not only for our Sunday services but also a fantastic space for our ‘loving our town’ initiatives and, spaces for the wider community to hire. If you would like to enquire about hiring a space (available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) please email the details to office@hopeipswich.co.uk.
