We’re pleased you’ve found it to our website, it’s a great way to find out more about our church. The best way to get a feel for the church is to pay us a visit and you’d be really welcome. First you need to choose which service suits you best - both services are identical, with the same preacher and band and with children's and youth groups running at each one.
We've plenty of free parking available behind the church centre as well as across the road in our overflow carpark in Cavendish Street (this is well sign-posted). When you arrive you will be greeted by our fantastic Welcome Team and you can arrange for someone to meet you personally if you like by clicking on the boxes below.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each service starts with worship led by a band and after about 20 minutes children go to their groups for their fun-packed activities. Later in the service one of the church leaders will preach a message from the Bible and you can hear our recent messages here. We usually take communion (bread and wine) together once a month.
During the service the church will have an opportunity to give money into our giving buckets, although many will give by other means, such as by standing order or on our giving page. There is no obligation to give to the church but we teach that this is good for people to do as part of their worship.
CHILDREN & YOUTH
Each service has five groups for children, Shine (Age 1 - 2), Glow (Age 3 - 5), Ignite (School years 1 to year 2), Blaze (School years 3 - 4) and Illuminate (School years 5 - 6). These groups start at 9:50 am in our first service and at 11:35 am in our second service. All of our children’s work volunteers are well trained and have had all the appropriate safety checks. Visiting children are really welcome to come and join our groups. For more information, visit the Hope Kids page.
In both services youth in years 7 - 11 have their own group that meets after the time of worship. Our youth work doesn't end on Sundays - check out what else we're up to during the week.
